Three full days of cinema, show, theater, and music
The first edition of the UMBRIA CINEMA FILM FEST will have its main location in Piazza del Popolo di Todi, from 17 to 19 September 2021. With a program that will animate some of the most important and evocative places of the Umbrian town: from Piazza del Popolo in Palazzo Pongelli, from the Municipal Theater of Todi, to the Cinema Nido dell’Aquila.
The Festival is organized by the Umbria Film Commission – a new foundation established in March 2021 and chaired by the director Paolo Genovese -, by the Umbria Region and the Municipality of Todi.
Ten films in competition chosen for this first edition and which will be presented during the three days of the Festival: Male Singular (by Alessandro Guida and Matteo Pilati), Bastardi a mano armata (by Gabriele Albanesi), Occhi Blu (by Micaela Cescon), Fortuna (by Nicolangelo Gelormini), The Bad Poet (by Gianluca Jodice), Comedians (by Gabriele Salvatores), Return to Crime (by Massimilano Bruno), The room (by Stefano Lodovichi), Tutti per Uma (by Susy Laude) and Morrison (by Federico Zampaglione).
A special prize, named after one of the major interpreters of the entertainment world who recently passed away, Gigi Proietti, will be the Gigi Proietti Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be awarded every year to one of the best actors in Italian cinema.
